Pet flipping is the act of obtaining a free or cheap pet and selling it for a profit. The "flipper" has no care or regards to the future of the pet or capability of the new home and is often neglected & abused while in their care. Flippers prey on unsuspecting pet owners and will lie to the new adopters about their breed, age or health status all to make a quick buck. This scam is not only causing suffering for animals and heartache for pet owners, but is causing Georgia's already extreme pet-population to soar. These pets are being passed from home to home unaltered and unvetted. Shelters are filled to the brim and euthanasia rates are at an all time high. This, in turn, is also costing Georgia taxpayers millions of tax dollars. By putting a halt to this new trend, we can effectively reduce the number of homeless pets & ultimately save millions of lives and Georgia tax dollars.
