Indians are resident all over the globe and with the ban on incoming flights to India, many of us are stranded in various parts of the world and estranged from their families in India -
The family members who came to visit a fellow family members
The students/workers who have finished their studies or lost their jobs
The visitors who came on business/personal travel...

Most of us are unprepared and also unable to bear the huge costs of staying on in a strange country without income, added with the separation from our families. To compound this, many of us have medical conditions.

We fully support the efforts of Government of India to reduce the impact of the dreaded virus, but urge the Government to consider the case of such stranded citizens to re-enter India and to be reunited with their families, on humanitarian grounds. We are willing to bear the full cost of travel, testing and quarantine and further, would assure full compliance to any other advice to safeguard the safety of our fellow Indians.

We urge the government to consider this petition, and allow us to return to our homeland.
