Every year, many elderly, respiro compromised, children, pets and wildlife die from the bursting of crackers. Many others are injured and seriously inconvenienced. The air and sound pollution is terrible. 

I saw my friend's kids (10 -12 years) terrified by the noise trying to pacify their pet that was so scared it had to be sedated. Another time, I had to take an asthamatic to the hospital due to complications arising out of smoke inhalation.

The problem does not stop with the inconvenience of the few minutes.  What of the health issues the sanitation workers face, the cows and other animals that roam free?

I would like to request a blanket ban on the sale and bursting of crackers for any reason whatsoever.
