I see people eating in Evans Commons at Lindenwood University, who use Styrofoam boxes instead of a plate. About only 20% fill the box and take it home to their dorm or house. It is a completely waste and has a dramatically influence on the environment. About 80% of the students eat in a to go box although they eat in the cafeteria. Another fact: Around 2000 boxes are wasted each day. We need to stop this waste of Styrofoam boxes and cups. We can save allot of money which can be used for better cafeteria food; many students would recommend an improvement on the cafeteria food of Evans Commons, and this will be a better solution than wasting such a huge amount of Styrofoam boxes. Moreover we can safe many trees as well and make the environment a better one. Each student is provided 10 boxes each year and if thinks it is necessary to take out the food he can use it. Solution of cups: Instead of using senseless cups, students can drink out of one of the many fountains here on campus of Lindenwood University. 

Sign this petition to support the environment and to raise attention. We have to understand the useless waste of Styrofoam boxes and cups. We have to realize what a huge waste it is.
