Make a Namco Collection with Obscure Titles!

Make a Namco Collection with Obscure Titles!
The Issue
Many gamers grew up playing games such as Pac-Man, Pole Position, Dig-Dug, Galaga and the lesser-known Rolling Thunder - All games made by Namco, published in the USA by Atari. In recent years, there have been various compilations featuring many of Namco's arcade titles, including some not so well known to others including some that never came to America. Titles such as the Tower of Druaga, Dragon Buster, and The Legend of Valkyrie. However, there are other arcade titles made by them that either are Japan-exclusive or never saw home ports or those particular home ports were obscured by others. I believe it is high time to bring these titles to today's consoles and computers to preserve their existence and give gamers worldwide a newfound experience playing these unique titles.
The goal of this petition is to request Namco/Namco-Bandai Games to launch collections that may include the following with the reasons attached to each and every entry:
- Wonder Momo (1987) [Considering that WayForward is working on a reboot of the game, why not show the rest of the world what the original was like in the first place?]
- Mӓrchen Maze (1988) [It was never released in the USA, and I think it looks like an interesting take on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland] [NOTE: Seeing this on a video of the Namco Gals Island Laserdisc/VHS was what made it strike my fancy]
- Phelios (1988) [Despite receiving a port on the Sega Genesis (AKA Mega Drive in Japan and Europe), the port in question was all but obscured by other Genesis hits. Worse yet, both the original arcade version and the Mega Drive port got themselves Japan-only releases on the Wii Virtual console. It looks like a good vertical "shoot'em up" title, with amazing scaling effects, voice-acting and animated scenes between the levels reminiscent of Rolling Thunder's in-between scenes] [NOTE: Also featured on the Namco Gals Island Laserdisc/VHS]
- Steel Gunner (1990) [Namco's second lightgun game ever made deserves to be ported, considering the amazing graphics and music to be found!] [NOTE: Steel Gunner is referenced in Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation]
- Steel Gunner 2 (1991) [With improved graphics and music compared to its predecessor, this needs to be brought to consoles!]
- Starblade (1991) [A game with revolutionary-looking 3D graphics that received an underpowered port for the Sega CD and an equally-lesser known one for the 3DO needs to see a Western release once more!] [NOTE: The order given to the player by the "Team Leader" on attacking the right enemies while he gets the ones on the left is referenced in Star Fox 64]
- Lucky & Wild (1992) [Take elements of Taito's Chase HQ and the aforementioned Steel Gunner, combine them, and what do you get? This crazy game that is in itself, a wild (sorry for the bad pun) take on Starsky & Hutch and Tango & Cash, pitting you as two undercover cops against the "Big Cigar" narcotics syndicate. And the two guys' banter will keep you entertained all the while] [NOTE: This sort of gameplay is featured in combining two karts in Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, and the title is also referenced in the Ridge Racer series]
- Air Combat (1993) [Take control of the fly-by-wire system of the F-16 Fighting Falcon against a rogue nation's air force in this amazing-looking 3D flight sim game. This and its arcade sequel were the basis for the long-running Ace Combat series] [NOTE: The title is often confused with the first Ace Combat game, considering that Air Combat was its title in the USA and Europe]
- Numan Athletics (1993) [Participate with one or three more players in one wild take on the Olympics as one of or all four super-powered beings, with some keen humor thrown in as well!] [NOTE: The music in this game was done by the same composers who did the music for Ridge Racer]
- Mach Breakers: Numan Athletics 2 (1994) [Better graphics, more characters, more events would be most appreciated with this one!]
- Ridge Racer 2 (1994) [The follow-up to the amazing first game deserves to get a console port!]
- Air Combat 22 (1995) [Originally was due for a home release on a Japanese PC, but it fell to the wayside for reasons we do not understand. But the fact that this game had a graphics engine from the Namco System 22 cabinet makes it very pretty to look at! Also, you get to fly the F-14 Tomcat, Su-35 Super Flanker and the F-22 Raptor with more stages and more adversaries than the first one!]
- Tokyo Wars (1996) [Want to know what was the spiritual predecessor to TANK! TANK! TANK! was? This incredible-looking game pitting the Type-90 Main Battle Tanks of the Green Godzillas against the T-72 tanks of the White Mammoths in a battle for supremacy over the city square or docks of Tokyo. Worthy of being released on today's consoles and PCs]
- Rapid River (1997) [Another amazing-looking Namco System 23 arcade game that promises a rafting-good time going down the eponymous river in an aquatic amusement park! It has branching paths to increase replay value, and amazing music to listen to! Worthy of a port to the Nintendo Wii U and/or 3DS utilizing their touch and gyro controls, wouldn't you agree?]
But to make the collection(s) that feature these titles all the more worth getting, Namco/Namco-Bandai should consider throwing in some extras into the mix - such as concept art, flyers, the ability to listen to the games' soundtracks, and throwing in the videos from VHS/Laserdiscs promoting specific games with English subtitles [especially so for Air Combat 22's two vocal songs in its promotional video]. Also, throwing in some how-to-play features for some of these games will help ease players into the experience. By doing this, gamers will get a bigger picture of these titles and get a better look at gaming history, let's all rally around, Namco fans! Let's tell the big boys what we desire the most by signing away to bring back moments from your cherished youths and satisfy your curiosity with all these games!
