ENGLISH VERSION:

We are the student-athletes of the Maryvale High School Track and Field and Cross Country programs in Phoenix, Arizona. Unfortunately, the administration at Maryvale is attempting to remove Jeffrey Goldstein from his coaching position which he has held for more than 12 years.

We ask why? We hold trophies over our heads and are champions in the classroom as well because of Coach Goldstein. The program this year had 4 students-athletes on the Sports360AZ All-Academic Team and six honorable mentions. He has been and continues to be a crucial part of sending numerous athletes to college. He turned around the cross country program, which was at risk of being terminated because it only had three athletes, into a championship program within three years.

This is just a small sample of the impact Coach Goldstein has had on our school and our community, despite the constant hindrances and individually juggling numerous tasks in order to help us be the best we can be.

This compels us to question the removal of his coaching position.  We are standing up for what we would all call an unfair recommendation for termination.

What happens from here will be up to us. We must come together and support Coach Goldstein who has always shown support for us! Your favor would be greatly appreciated in order to KEEP THE GOLD! Thank you!!

¡¡Gracias!!
