My name is Maricia Felton im 26 years old and is deaf/hard of hearing. About 22months ago my children were taking from me by dcf after they were taken they made me do things and order to get them back. I've done everything that was asked of me but every time we went back to court its was something that they (Dcf) didnt do. On April 14 i finally got my kids back while it was the happiest day of my life. It was also short lived because my mother had a stoke in May and when we went back to court June 10 it was so we could close my whole case and return my kids to me or so i thought. Before we went in my lawyer told me they were taking my kide back from me because they felt i couldn't give them a safe environment. They feel a young black mother that is disabled and have some disabled children is not able to care for her children alone. I am a single mother their father is not much help but the judge place them in his custody until we go back to court but i have a feeling they are not going to give my children back to me because they feel NO ONE can handle six children alone. And to make it worse i didn't even have an interpreter at court this was the third time they did get me an interpreter. We just went back to court August 28, and i was right! This judge is NOT getting all of the facts from all of the people and wont even listen to the people that were there and know whats going on. She feel that since the ONE person give her one opinion that all the good and everything ive done the pass 22 months mean nothing. I think it crazy many people have more children than me and alot of them are doing it alone just because im DISABLE and dont have alot of money doesn't mean im not capable of raising my children to be good men and woman. All im asking is for you to please share my story and help bring my children home. I've been fighting for 22 months for my children and im not about to let them just take my children base on lies. Please help me
