Don't you find it find it quite weird and sexist that our sex at birth decides what we'll wear? Even if it we don't want to wear it?

Hello. I'm a student of subhash excellence and i find it extremely hard to fathom the fact why our sex decides our clothing. I've been restless because of this fact that in a society,, for some reason,, only women are expected to carry the culture and tradition of this country? Only women are supposed to wear traditional clothing while men just... Live their lives? Wear whatever they want? Why can't they carry the customs of our country aswell? Why can't they wear a salwar kurta? Why can't uniform be equal for all? 

Actually, this is a result of deeply rooted patriarchy, misogyny, gender roles, etc. in our society. This is proved by the fact that women cannot choose for themselves even today. And if they try to voice their opinions they are told "it's not a big problem" and manipulated into believing that them getting the necessary assets is more than enough, that they're privileged. 

It also restricts gender expression to a binary. Uniforms are sex based,, hence it chokes the throat of gender expression for queer kids. Transgender/queer students will be caged to a piece of clothing they don't even want to wear, same goes for girls.

GIRL'S UNIFORM IS ALSO UNSUITABLE  AND UNCOMFORTABLE  FOR SPORTS ACTIVITY.  GIRLS ARE BEING DENIED THE PARTICIPATION IN SPORTS BECAUSE THEY'RE FORCED TO WEAR UNIFORMS IN WHICH THEY CANNOT EFFECTIVELY TAKE PART IN. DOES THAT MEAN THAT ONLY BOYS ARE ATHLETIC? NO. GIRLS HAVING TO WEAR A SALWAR KURTA IS UNREASONABLE BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT PERFORMING DOMESTIC ACTIVITIES AT SCHOOL. BOYS AND GIRLS TAKE EQUAL PARTICIPATION IN ALL ACTIVITIES AND HENCE THE UNIFORM SHOULD BE SAME FOR ALL. 

If a girl is atheletic and takes participation in sports,, she has to go through so much hassle and inconvenience just to change her uniform to a sports one so that she can participate effectively. While boys have access to the sports uniform that they can wear at school and during sports activities aswell. If this is not gender roles and discrimination,, then what is? 

I WANT A CHOICE. A CHOICE TO CHOOSE FOR MYSELF AND ALL GIRLS OF MY SCHOOL,, AND IF POSSIBLE, ALL GIRLS OF THIS NATION. 

PLEASE SUPPORT ME FOR THIS GOOD CAUSE TO BRING A CHANGE IN THIS PATRIARCHAL SOCIETY.
