After the recent incidents of 'trail hunting' hounds invading private gardens, running into roads and in particular killing a fox on a family's garden patio - it's time to make it law to control the pack. Nearly 50 years ago I was promoting the idea of trail hunting not just because I didn't like fox hunting but because of incidents where pet dogs and cats had been hurt and even killed - it was my biggest fear that one day it would be a child, innocently playing in their garden. Back then we thought it would be a fair compromise and it took a long time but now it's obvious it isn't solving the main problem which is that the hounds are NOT under control. So surely one way of safeguarding everyone is to MUZZLE them so they can't tear ANYTHING apart?
