This is a petition asking iTunes to allow people to 'turn in' their iTunes cards as donations to Amnesty International.
This would be fairly simple, instead of 'redeeming' them, iTunes would create an option allowing the money to be donated.
Amnesty International describes itself as "a worldwide movement of people who campaign for internationally recognized human rights for all".

Letter to
Apple Inc. Tim Cook
As Jimi Hendrix once said, “when the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace". Music and peace have shared a role throughout history as a means by which we come together, remember what is important and find goodness in the world. It is no surprise then, that when one of these concepts suffers, the other must come to its aid. iTunes, one of the leading music distributors in the world, has done a considerable amount for peace. Its album supporting Amnesty International, 'Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur', sold 107,689 copies in the US alone. Now, as members of Amnesty International's global staff working for peace, we ask for iTunes to take their generosity a step further.
This is a petition asking iTunes to allow people to 'turn in' their iTunes cards as donations to Amnesty International. This would be fairly simple, instead of 'redeeming' them, iTunes would create an option allowing the money to be donated. Finally, we remind you that all we are saying is give peace a chance. Any support that would help grab iTunes' attention is a step towards the peace that every music great has reminded us we need.
