Due to COVID-19 our school district (Marana Unified School District) has decided to cancel Marana, Mountain View, and MCAT high schools’ graduation ceremonies. We do understand that COVID-19 is a very serious thing going on but we hope that the district takes postponing our ceremony into consideration. Graduation is one of many things that young adults look forward to as they’re in high school; due to the pandemic a lot of our senior traditions have been already been taken from us and we don’t want this ceremony to be one of them. Throughout our four years of high school we work hard towards getting our diploma; the graduation ceremony is how we are recognized for our hard work. Please help Class of 2020 by signing this petition to help us get the graduation ceremony we deserve. We hope that the district decides to change their mind on canceling our ceremonies if we get a reasonable amount of signatures.
