With recent events on the Bay of Quinte there has been a huge amount of support from the fishing and outdoors community. I think we can all agree that knowledge is power. There has been several great ideas presented. My idea to make a lasting difference, would be to organize an in depth ice safety and education course. Topics may include : preparation for a safe outing, judging ice conditions, how to read Navionics properly to identify where high risk areas are, what to do if you do fall through, what to do if you see someone else go through and so on. I want to clearly state this is not a petition. This is an idea that will need a ton of support to stand a chance likely due to potential liability risks. I believe this can be done safely and it’s more then achievable.  More importantly something that can make a difference in this world.
