The GARUDA VARADHI is a prestigious flyover being constructed in Tirupati by the TTD & MCTfor the convenience of the huge number pf piligrims who visit tirumala each year. The present plan of the flyover is to end it near kapilatheertham.

However there has been news of change in its plans to extend the flyover from kapilatheertham to alipiri. 

The scenic route between kapilatheertham and alipiri, a 2.3 km stretch of absolute greenery filled with old and huge trees and one of the best examples of nature. Many people start their day with a jog or walk along this route. The "nagara vanam" with its pristine untouched walkways in the jungle offer a place that's like no other.

However with the proposed extension we will lose a part of our city...and in the process a part of ourselves. The extension will only reduce the travel time by hardly 5 minutes. An entire part of mother nature for just 5 minutes is really appalling.

So it is a sincere request to the MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF TIRUPATI and the TTD EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE to please stop with the plans to extend the garuda VARADHI.
