Traffic everywhere no lane to spare . It is evident that a change is required to make us go green. Many Mumbaikars love to cycle but fear getting run down due to unscrupulous rash driving and lane cutting . So, a change however big has to start and the need of the hour is for the Municipal Corporation of Mumbai to dedicate a lane for cyclists in the city.

According to a study conducted by scientometric analysis of road traffic accident research in India , around 70% of cycle accidents in the year 2019 occurred due to no specific and earmarked cycling lanes and 40% of these accidents were fatal .This results in motor vehicles being used rather than cycles thereby enhancing air pollution and also promoting an unhealthy lifestyle.

 Hence, we want to create specific pedalling lanes across Mumbai to enable people to safely travel on cycles without worrying about traffic , accidents and pollution . Please help us sign this petition to impress upon the government to make Mumbai cycling safe .
