Fix filthy civic conditions in Gurgaon #FixGurugram
The Issue
Deeply anguished with the deteriorating civic conditions in Gurgaon, particularly in the old parts of the city and Udyog Vihar (Rao Gajraj Singh Marg). I commute from Sobha International City to Cyber City for work and end up cursing the government every day. Absolutely disgusting! The state of the roads and the overall sanitation situation has reached an alarming level, causing severe inconvenience and hardship to the residents and workers in the area.
Gurgaon is one of the largest revenue-generating cities in India, playing a vital role in the economic growth of our nation. However, the poor state of infrastructure and the lack of attention from the government towards addressing these issues reflect a blatant disregard for the well-being of its citizens.
One of the most pressing issues is the condition of the roads. They are in a state of disrepair, riddled with potholes and uneven surfaces, posing a serious risk to the safety of commuters. This situation worsens during the monsoon season, as the roads become flooded, leading to hours-long traffic jams and delays in reaching workplaces. It is disheartening to witness people trapped in these congestions, losing valuable time and engaging in arguments/small fights due to sheer frustration.
It is evident that the root cause of these problems lies in the government's apathy and negligence. Despite numerous promises made by politicians during election campaigns, the situation remains unchanged, leaving the residents of Gurgaon disillusioned and betrayed. No politician visits these areas after elections. We cannot allow such deceitful practices to continue unchallenged.
Therefore, I strongly believe that it is imperative for all concerned citizens to unite and raise our voices against this gross misconduct. We need to launch a public campaign to highlight the plight of the people in Gurgaon and demand immediate action from the government. Together, we can shed light on the urgent need for improved civic infrastructure, better road maintenance, and effective flood management measures.
I have written multiple times to MLA Shri Rakesh Daultabad and Chief Minister Mr Khattar but not seen any action. Recommend awareness campaigns, and engaging with local media to garner support for this cause. We should encourage active participation from residents, workers, and businesses in Gurgaon to demonstrate the widespread dissatisfaction and frustration prevailing in the community.
I request your support and involvement in this campaign to address the poor civic conditions in Gurgaon. Together, we can bring about the change that our city desperately needs and deserves. Let us raise our voice against government apathy and hold our elected representatives accountable for their promises.
