Dear Administrators of Mullen High School,
We the students of Mullen High School are asking you to consider fully opening up the school next fall. As this period of quarantine continues we urge you to look at what is happening to us. Distance learning is causing us to have unnecessary stress. On average students are more anxious than ever. Our parents feel that we are not getting the education promised to us.If you don’t want to lose students we recommend opening the school up. It is highly unlikely that children and teenagers will catch the coronavirus or spread it. We are not in danger or in a high-risk group. It is widely accepted that those who are in the high-risk group should stay home, but we are not. We need to live our lives. You promised us the best high school experience and right now, we aren’t getting it. We love being Mustangs, but we won't if we never get the chance to be ones again. This virus isn't going to go away, but the world won't stop for it. We can not stay in lockdown any longer. It is becoming detrimental to us. The virus isn't what is hurting us anymore. Please look at the articles linked below with information pertaining to this petition. Please, open our school back up.
