Do a segment on how proper carseat usage can save a child's life.

There were 30,797 FATAL car accidents in 2009. With so many deaths by car accidents happening every year, it's important that parents are using their childrens' car seats' properly. For almost 3 years, we have sat back and watched parents on Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant use their car seats improperly.

The law requires that any baby under the age of 1 NEEDS to be in a rear-facing car seat, and recommends keeping them rear facing as long as possible. Forward-facing children under the age of 2 are 75% more likely to be injured, but yet we keep seeing these parents turning theirs infants around right at one, or even earlier than that. Loose straps, twisted straps, and improper car seat positioning have also been noticed on the shows.

It's time to make sure that these moms, and other parents watching, are informed about car seat safety and the dangers of incorrect use. With so many parents tuning in to watch these shows, I feel like this is a great opportunity to share information and save babies lives by making sure they are informed.
