Hi Fellow Mounties,

As we know there are already 20 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the LA county alone. We have seen how rapidly this virus has spread In Italy and China and we hope Mt. Sac will take action now before anyone is affected. As students of a public community college, we are concerned that our health is being jeopardized and it is visible that students are fearful of potentially contracting this virus as there has been an increase in the usage of facemasks at school. We hope that Mt. Sac will switch to online class instruction as many colleges have already suspended in-class instruction. Such colleges include UC San Diego, UC Irvine, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and Stanford all due to health concerns about the Coronavirus. We trust that it will not be difficult for Mt. Sac to switch to online instruction. Furthermore, we hope that the administration at Mt. Sac will take initiative and address students' concerns seriously.
