I am a Eritrean/Ethiopian descendant living in Oakley and from my window can see Mt.Diablo. Today I had a 12am tacobell craving  made a tacobell run. I love spicy food but hate the “Diablo” marketing. I am superstitious and avoid negative connotations/perspective along with  avoiding systematic racism that can be subliminal messaging. Why would I want a product name after the “Diablo”.  I truly thought that the Mountain was named by Natives cursing the land/whites. So I went to twitter and @tacobell stating my opinion that their sauce it’s not even hot or good and make a hotter sauce replacing with a purpose to rebrand it “Holy Hell Fire” because it’s a Holy Judgement(bear with me). I explained on twitter this but I felt that being next to and around the mountain is subliminally perpetuating negative animosities withholding healing and forgiveness. [When can we move on to heal as a nation do you need a coloreds permission, take mine I forgive let’s heal!] however I learned it wasn’t because Native Americans branding the land and giving the name. Instead it was Native American’s successful evasion through the thicket that the Spanish rued  and calling it a negative trope. according to https://www.calparks.org/blog/explore-california-mount-diablo-state-park .

Let’s stop normalizing colloquialism thats stigmatizing and allowing colonizers to enable racist ephitets?  we are Eroding a Glorious Holy Mountain of Indigenous Victory.  

Let’s speak healing affirmations of the Mountain’s history attributing Honor to the natives and remove unedifying words from the community. Refusing to Rename from “Mt. Diablo” to a proper positive Propaganda/Subminal-message that heals is  loss to uplift our nation/culture? It isn’t  Fascism it’s public relations.  We should Honor the Natives Successful Journey evading the colonist and reform the name of the mountain and  pertinent region geography’s to “Mt. Consecrated”. we allowed Conquistador to insult the very blessing which saved Natives Americans from Peril. We need to undermine negative influences to promote healing through  positive messaging. we inadvertently brainwash and encourage wickedness through subminal messages all around such  glorifying conquistadors by certain people while shaming the resistance of those emancipating. Let’s also get rename the Taco Bell hot sauce!  

Mountains are historically Sacred not just For Natives.

I’m Ethiopian/ Eritrean and we revere a mountains as Holy symbols, “ Each church was carved from a single piece of rock to symbolize spirituality and humility.“
