*TRIGGER WARNING: Animal Abuse* Last week, our quiet East Cambridge neighborhood was rocked by the shocking news that a cat, somebody’s pet, was found on Thursday morning (5/6) underneath a car, with its legs bound by duct tape, multiple BB gun shots to the face and body, and a large amount of fur missing.  A local neighbor heard the noises of a cat crying and called the police right away.  Unfortunately by the time animal control showed up and found the young adult male cat, he had passed away due to the injuries.

I was absolutely devastated walking out of my apartment on Saturday morning to see that the missing cat poster that had only been up for a few days, was now replaced by a notice from the police and MSPCA with the gruesome details of what happened.  We have been trolling the neighborhood looking for clues, only to find out that this is not the first time something like this has happened.

We are hopeful to collect as many signatures as possible to present to local state officials and representatives as a show of support from the community. This is extremely important to us all and we want the perpetrator caught.
