My petition to Ms Christine Holgate is now signed and supported by over 35,000 people from the lengths and breadths of our country-Australia and some from other parts of the world as well. This milestone makes this petition one of the most signed on Change.org. platform. The actual number of Supporters, as I write today is 35,266. It is expected to keep growing as the time goes is my confidence.

Christine Holgate backs report saying Scott Morrison should apologise and Australia Post chair should resign

I have written to ABC numerous times but they have not given me a voice. Why? They need to be independent and impartial. They are funded by the people of this nation-the taxpayers. ABC is failing to expose Ms Holgate for her alleged silence on documented corruption and crimes cover ups for the entire period of three years she headed Australia Post as their Group CEO and Managing Director. The same is the case with Mr Ahmed Fahour who was Ms Holgate’s predecessor for SEVEN years.
It is important to note that both of them resigned abruptly. Their well-publicised reasons for their resignations do not hold any water is my view.
Many Senators, including all the twelve for New South Wales, have allegedly ignored Ms Holgate’s unacceptable silence on documented corruption and crimes cover ups initiated by Australia Post officials back in June 2006. The Senate enquiry, where Ms Holgate and others appeared was chaired by Senator the Honourable Sarah Hanson-Young of the Greens. She failed to hold Ms Holgate to account by ignoring many of my letters to her.
Please note the following highlights of what Ms Holgate said to Ms. Sales on 7.30 report.
1. Ms. Holgate thanked the Senate Committee for all the hard work they have done.
My response:
Many on that Senate committee have ignored Ms Holgate’s unacceptable conduct of remaining silent on my ID theft cover up matters which is known to them for years.
2. Ms Holgate said it is very important that sometimes when things go wrong, if we apologise then people can heal and move on.
My response:
Ms Holgate had three long years to apologise to my family so that we could have healed and moved on but she remained silent on over Fifteen years of systemic documented dishonesty, cover ups, lies, fabrications and so on and did not allow us to moves on. We have to still continue to fight corruption and cover ups.
3. Ms Holgate said: It is very important that the people do stand up to work place bullying.
My response:
That is exactly what my wife was doing with Randwick City Council-her employer. No one from Australia Post has answered my question if there was any connection with anyone connected with Randwick City Council involved in the Redirection of our mail including Australia Post’s Investigator Mr Don Kane despite asking this question many times to him and also numerous others.
4. Ms Holgate said: When the Senate takes such forensic approach to seek the truth and tell the truth it should give everybody a hope.
My response:
Ms. Holgate has praised the Senators for taking a forensic approach to seek and find the truth. Numerous Senators including many on the Senate Committee have failed to take a forensic approach to seek the truth and find the truth about Ms Holgate’s silence on corruption and crimes cover ups by Australia Post officials despite being responsible as the Group CEO and MD for three years. This allegedly protected numerous wrongdoers in Australia Post and gave them time and opportunity to leave the jobs at the HQ in Melbourne of Australia Post. She did the same and then her resignation is linked to the Cartier watches she gifted. Where are the Senators gone to explore and investigate why Ms Holgate resigned? What is the TRUTH? In my view it is NOT Cartier Watches at all. Where is Ms Leigh Sales? Why is she silent on the alleged gross misconduct of Ms Holgate and Mr Fahour?
5. Leigh sales asked: Would you like an apology from the Opposition Leader also? This Opposition Leader is of Labor Party. He is the Hon. Anthony Albanese MP. My numerous letters to him have gone unanswered. The initial Question on Cartier watches was asked by the Labor Senator the Hon Kimberley Kitching to Ms Holgate and all the story of expenses came to light.
My response:
Ms Holgate did not give any straight forward answer to this question because these same people from Labor Party who questioned Ms Holgate’s conduct then became her supporters. Ms Holgate mentioned the name of the Committee Member Senator Carr who was seeking truth. This same Senator the Hon Kim Carr is failing to question Ms Holgate on her silence on my ID theft cover ups matters. He did not respond to my letters at all despite allegedly understanding the depth of the corruption that is ongoing in Australia Post. How is that fair, just and reasonable?
6. Ms Holgate said that the Senate Committee report says she was unlawfully stood down, she was not entitled to her legal rights.
My response:
Ms Holgate knew this long before Senate Committee was even established. She had expert lawyers to help her. She resigned with IMMEDIATE EFFECT despite knowing this. Why?
Please Note: The Prime Minister of Australia can neither appoint nor terminate the CEO of Australia Post. Any outburst of the PM about the money spent on Cartier watches in the parliament could have been challenged by Ms Holgate with full force. She was on twice the income or even more than what is paid to the PM. Why did she resign? There was no shortage of money to pay to the lawyers.
Any abrupt resignations have something else boiling elsewhere. This is mostly the case in most of the cases is my view. Why is Ms Leigh Sales silent on my petition to Ms Holgate? Why is she not ready to give me a voice? It is after all “Our ABC”? Why is this discrimination not ending?
7. Ms Holgate said the organisation needs to trust the Chair. This is about the Chair of Australia Post Mr Lucio Di Bartolomeo that the Senate Committee recommended to be terminated.
My response:
The termination of Chair, as recommended by the Senate Committee, has never happened. The PM never apologised. What do they know about the alleged gross misconduct of Ms Holgate that they are reluctant to investigate and talk publicly about it? Ms Holgate’s resignation stopped them in investigating Ms Holgate further is my view. They let her go without further exposing her is also my view.
There is no shortage of documents on the records in the Parliament House spanning around TEN long years about Australia Post officials’ unacceptable conduct from June 2006 is my view.
8. Ms Holgate said, the Chair on numerous times changed his evidence. Employees must have confidence in the Board.
My response:
I fully agree that not only employees but everyone else must have confidence in the Board. It is also important that all the customers and the owners of Australia Post must have confidence in the CEO and MD and other senior officials of Australia Post.
Australian Citizens own Australia Post. Ms Holgate failed to hold past and present wrongdoers that worked for or are working for Australia Post to account and by doing so she allegedly became the part of the team engaged in the cover ups. Ms Leigh Sales has the responsibility to look at the dark side of Ms Holgate as well. Ms Holgate and Mr Fahour’s silence on corruption and crimes cover ups is unacceptable. The longer the media protects them and especially ABC they will lose their credibility as the independent and impartial broadcaster.
9. Ms Holgate said she has not seen the Liberal and Nationals Senators' dissenting report.
The following is part of that report:
The response by the Australian Labor Party (ALP) to the revelations stemming from Senator Kitching's questions, ranged from outrage at Ms Holgate's conduct to calls for her resignation coming from the Leader of the Opposition and union figures. Examples of the nature of the response include:
'Christine Holgate has done the wrong thing. I support her paying a price for that' (the Hon Anthony Albanese MP, 30 October 2020);
'I think her position is untenable' (the Hon Anthony Albanese MP, 30 October 2020);
'I think it's perfectly reasonable that Christine Holgate resign' (the Hon Anthony Albanese MP, 3 November 2020);
'I said this at the time, that this did not pass the muster for any responsible spending' (Ms Michelle Rowland, 3 November 2020);
'The union representing Australia Post workers, the CPSU, is calling for the resignation of Australia Post CEO and investigation into the board' (Community and Public Sector Union media release, 22 October 2020);
'Ms Holgate appears to be living high on the hog' (Senator Kitching, 12 October 2020); and
'Unspeakably outrageous rort' opinion piece (Senator Kitching, 16 November 2020).
Subsequently, it appears that the opportunity to criticise the Government, led to a change in rhetoric and this inquiry has become a highly politicised exercise. This has had an impact on many of the recommendations in the majority report and the events leading up to and during the inquiry became a significant distraction to the valuable work of Australia Post.
Liberal and Nationals Senators do not support aspects of the analysis of evidence and many of the recommendations of the majority report. We make the following observations regarding the following recommendations. (Then there were observations that are publicly available)
My response:
Each of the elected representative named above that had strong views about Ms Holgate’s conduct of spending money lavishly has failed to respond to my letters to hold numerous Australia Post officials to account and for raising my concerns in the parliament. Why?
If the Leader of the Opposition wants a Federal ICAC, why does he not look at the records of Labor for six years while in the government and failing to address corruption? Mr. Albanese has dismally failed to hold the government to account on their silence on documented corruption and cover ups by protecting Australia Post officials including Ms Holgate and Mr Fahour.
10. Ms Holgate said it is a 251page report. It is incredible in its details. There has been multiple submissions and it is gone on for months.
My response:
My fight fort justice has gone on for over 15 years. There are thousands of pages of documents, letters, reports, FOI decisions, AAT hearings, ADT hearings, Ombudsman correspondence, Office of the Australian Information Commission-OAIC correspondence and communications with Australia Post officials. These ongoing efforts to get the truth out has proven dishonesty, breaches of moral and ethical standards, breaches of rules, service charters, cheating, fabrications, manipulations, wrongdoings, unlawful activities and so on no matter where I went to get a resolution and the truth out.
With so called expert CEOs and MDs, both Ms Holgate and Mr Fahour dismally failed to address this matter while at the top job at Australia Post. That period is TEN years between them. The successive governments have failed to act on this and failed to act on the money spent by Australia Post official to cover up corruption and crimes in this matter.
11. Ms Holgate said, it is time that Australia Post apologise.
My response:
Ms Holgate’s treatment by the number of people including the PM on the expenses incurred for buying watches and other things could be questionable but at the same time for a CEO like Ms Holgate to remain silent on documented corruption and crimes cover ups by people under her leadership is also questionable. She was responsible to address the wrongdoings of all those involved in this matter. Some had left Australia Post prior to her joining Australia Post and some left after she was in the job for some time.
Where is Ms Holgate’s and Mr Fahour’s apology to my family despite the unacceptable alleged corrupt and criminal conduct of many is documented.
Ms Leigh Sales has not shown any impartiality while giving voice to Ms Holgate and not to me. The soft corner of media towards Ms Holgate is not justified especially when they are made aware of the alleged gross misconduct of Ms Holgate and Mr Fahour on an ongoing basis.
“your ABC” needs to practice what they preach and expect us to believe. I challenge Ms Leigh Sales to bring Ms Holgate on 7.30 report with me to answer my questions. Let the people of this nation hear Ms Holgate answer my questions. She is no longer with Australia Post therefore she can speak freely and answer my questions honestly. Let the people of this nation be the judge.
Dear Supporters,
The above point by point response from me to Ms Holgate’s appearance on 7.30 Report is expected to give you some idea of the hypocrisy of Ms Holgate.
She was not expected to protect the wrongdoers. She was not expected to hide the TRUTH. She was not expected to hide the documents, she was not expected to remain silent on my numerous letters, documents and evidence of corruption supplied to her.
Why she resigned the job she loved? Why she resigned when she was not after money? How her resignation has now become a Termination?
Ms Holgate has failed to justify her resignation. She has failed to apologise to my family for her own alleged gross misconduct and not telling us the TRUTH. She deserves to be investigated for allowing 15+ years for systemic corruption and crimes cover ups to continue and then resign with “IMMEDIATE EFFECT” under the cover of Cartier Watches.
Dear Supporters, this fight for justice will only intensify because no one should be above the law. We, together, can prove to the world that the millionaires should not get away when their failures to address corruption and crimes is very well documented. Covering up crimes is also a crime.
We need to unite to show People Power to the decision makers, Prime Minister, Communications Minister, Attorney General and the elected representatives sitting in the Parliament House to do their jobs with honesty, integrity and values. If they cannot do it, they must get out and let someone else take over.
The documented Toxic Culture in the Parliament House in my matters is not going to be allowed to pushed under the carpet for ever as it is happening over the years.
Our good country is spoiling and the people we trust to run it are not taking it seriously to reverse the trend and to make it corruption free. We must act and act now before it goes out of hand and the corruption becomes unstoppable.
This one case alone has laid a foundation to eradicate corruption from many places in one go and we start from AUSTRALIA POST.
If Ms Leigh Sales has no desire to be independent and impartial then she needs to leave ABC is my view. If she is controlled by others and stopped from being Independent and impartial, she must name those people to maintain her credibility and leave and blow the whistle.
Ms Holgate may not have done anything wrong in gifting Cartier watches but she has done everything wrong by keeping my family under perpetual psychological torture and pain and suffering and hiding the truth from us. Mr Fahour is no different.
