The Times of India newspaper in its Kolkata edition dated 13 September 2016 reported that Subhas Chandra Bose's family members are going to request PM Narendra Modi to form a committee to analyze classified documents on Netaji both in India and abroad to solve the puzzle of his disappearance. It also reported that the Bose family members have signed the online petition to Putin requesting the Russian President to release information on Netaji, which was delivered to the Russian embassy in Delhi in April 2016. The newspaper further reported that Netaji Researcher Purabi Roy believes that Netaji died in confinement in Russia though others believe he survived the ordeal.
