Dear Sir,
“We want to draw your attention towards the unparalleled service of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan to the nation that ranges from his fight for the freedom of this country to his unequalled contribution in the field of education. e surely cannot ignore his strenuous efforts in the field of education. He always worked for the inclusive growth of of the people of this country and promoted communal harmony.
We all know very well that Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was a great educationist reformer. He did this without discriminating between Hindus and Muslims.
Sir Syed recognised the critical role of education; work for Hindu-Muslim unity and on his contribution as a reformer in social and educational fields. The first graduate of AMU, was a Hindu.
Sir Syed Ahmad Khan had said that India is a beautiful bride and that Muslims and Hindus are its two beautiful eyes.
In the prevailing scenario, we need to revive Sir Syed’s ideology.
Nobody can disagree that AMU played a very important and documented role in India`s freedom struggle. AMU produced a galaxy of sportsmen, politicians, technocrats and so on. To name few, Dr. Zakir Hussain former Prsident of India, Hasrat Mohani and Ali Brothers belonged to this illustrious institution founded by Sir Syed.
We request that Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award of the nation, should also be conferred on AMU founder Sir Syed Ahmad Khan so that justice may be done to Sir Syed by awarding him Bharat Ratna. Awarding the Bharta Ratmna to Sir Syed will be true & proportionate tribute to him on his 202nd birth anniversary (17th October 2019).
