Re:- Up-gradation of pension to LIC pensioners.

Day in day out, you and your Government will be proclaiming from house tops proudly that granting of ONE RANK ONE PENSION (OROP) is one of your major achievements.You have already been giving up-gradation of pension to Central Govt. employees whenever there is a revision of wages for 'in service' employees.

The law of the land also has recognized that the pension is not a bounty ...and is NOT something that is given out of grace (the word ‘bounty’ is defined as ’something that is given generously’) but it is something like a deferred compensation for the past services rendered by the employee.

When pension is upgraded automatically, whenever there is a wage revision, as a matter of routine to the Central Govt. employees and many others, it is nothing but ‘tyranny’ to refuse the same to the pensioners in LIC OF INDIA, the Country's most reputed  No.1 Insurer,  despite several Court judgments in their favour.

As you know  the value of the meager static pension going down every day because of the staggering inflation, our lives have become miserable.  As a hedge against the inflation unless we are granted this up-gradation of pension forthwith we will be soon in streets.

Please use your good offices and see that the long pending and the most justified demand of the pensioners in LIC OF INDIA IS GRANTED AT THE EARLIEST.
