Trump has spent three years spewing hatred, inciting violence, and lying to the American people and all with the ability of using the Twitter platform. If anyone else threatened civil war, harassed minors and intimidated witnesses in court proceedings, Twitter would have cancelled their account. This should also apply to the person who holds the most power in our country. Without the Twitter platform, Donald Trump would not be allowed to spread messages that instigate hate and divide the public. Using Twitter is not a right or a government institution, it is a luxury. It is up to the owners of Twitter to decide who can use their service. Those who sign this petition are calling on the owners, operators and executives of Twitter to cancel President Donald Trump’s Twitter account. We demand Twitter take responsibility for allowing hate speech and lies to be spread on a global level and that they remedy this issue by blocking Trump from having this amount of power by using their service. Twitter has blocked and canceled similar accounts for this type of rhetoric and Donald Trump’s messaging is just as egregious.
