Ich unterzeichne diese Petition bezüglich der 27. Tagung der Konferenz der Vertragsparteien (COP 27) des Rahmenübereinkommens der Vereinten Nationen über Klimaänderungen (UNFCCC), die vom 7. bis 18. November 2022 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Ägypten, stattfinden wird.

Es ist bedauerlich, dass diese Veranstaltung unter der Schirmherrschaft eines Regimes stattfindet, das in seiner Feindseligkeit gegenüber der Natur beispiellos ist. Diese Veranstaltung wird einem Präsidenten Legitimität verleihen, der gegen die Farbe Grün empfindlich ist, so dass die staatlichen Institutionen - und sie arbeiten in allem auf seine direkten Befehle hin - viele Parks und Grünflächen in Ägypten zerstört und entfernt haben, zuletzt haben die ägyptischen Behörden beschlossen, einen Garten in der historischen Stadt Alexandria zu entfernen, einen der schönsten Gärten, einen der ältesten Gärten in der Geschichte der Menschheit, der Tausende von Jahren alt ist und seltene Pflanzen enthält, den Antoniadas-Garten.

Ein Regime, dessen jüngste Entscheidung darin bestand, Diesel statt Erdgas für den Betrieb des Stromnetzes zu verwenden, nur um mehr Erdgas verkaufen zu können, ohne die zerstörerischen Auswirkungen einer solchen Entscheidung auf die Umwelt in Betracht zu ziehen.

Dieses Regime, unter dessen Schirmherrschaft die UN-Klimakonferenz stattfinden wird, hat nichts von den Empfehlungen der UN-Klimakonferenz in Glasgow umgesetzt, sondern nur wertlose Maßnahmen zur Reduzierung der Kohlendioxidemissionen ergriffen.
In der Tat hat das ägyptische Regime - als eines von wenigen Ländern - weder eine langfristige Strategie veröffentlicht, noch Pläne zur Dekarbonisierung vorgelegt, und es gibt keinen Hinweis darauf, dass es die Absicht hat, das Pariser Klimaabkommen einzuhalten.

Das ägyptische Regime sieht in dieser Konferenz nur zwei Dinge. Das erste ist die internationale Legitimität, die es durch die interne Missbilligung der Ägypter gegen seine Legitimität, die den höchsten Stand seit 2014 erreicht hat, gewinnen wird.

Der zweite Grund ist die Finanzierung, die aus der Konferenz resultieren wird und die öffentlich ist. Die offizielle Regierungsposition des ägyptischen Regimes besagt, dass die Finanzierung bei der COP 27 ganz oben auf der Tagesordnung stehen sollte und dass sie sich darauf konzentrieren wird, die Zusagen in die Tat umzusetzen.
Das ist es, was für dieses Regime zählt und nicht das Klima oder die Zukunft des Planeten.

Mit dieser Petition möchte ich Sie bitten, den Gipfel aus Ägypten zu verlegen und dem ägyptischen Regime und dem Diktator in Kairo nicht noch mehr Legitimität zu verschaffen, als erste Reaktion der internationalen Gemeinschaft auf Sisis Gräueltaten gegen die Ägypter und den Planeten.

Wir hoffen, dass die UNO ein Modell gegen Diktaturen sein wird, die unter der Führung von Putin und seinesgleichen wieder auf dem Vormarsch sind.

I am signing this petition regarding the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 27) to The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which will take place from 7-18 November 2022 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

It is unfortunate that this event is held under the auspices of a regime that is unparalleled in its hostility to nature, this event will give legitimacy to a president who is sensitive against the color green, so the state institutions - and they are working on his direct orders in everything - destroyed and removed many parks and green areas in Egypt, latest to which Egyptian authorities have decided to remove a garden in the historical city of Alexandria, one of the most beautiful gardens, one of the oldest gardens in human history, thousands of years old, containing rare plants, the Antoniadas Garden.

A regime that latest decision was to use diesel instead of natural gas to run the Electric grid, just to have more natural gas to sell without giving any consideration to the destructive effect of such decision on the environment.

This regime where UN will be holding the Climate conference under his auspices has done nothing of the recommendations made at the United Nations Climate Change Conference took place in Glasgow, it has only taken worthless actions To reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Indeed, the Egyptian regime - among a few countries - has not published any long-term strategy, nor have come with any plans for decarbonization and there is no evidence that it has any intention of complying with the Paris climate agreement.

The Egyptian regime sees only two things in this conference. The first is the international legitimacy that it will gain with the internal disapproval from Egyptian against its legitimacy which reached to it's highest since 2014.

The second: reason is the funding that will result from the conference, which is public. The official government position of the Egyptian regime says that funding should be at the top of the agenda in COP 27, and that it will focus on transforming pledges into action.
This is what matters to this regime and not the climate nor the future of the planet.

I hereby sing this petition to kindly ask you to move the summit from Egypt and not to give the Egyptian regime and the dictator sitting in Cairo more legitimacy, as the first stand from the international community against Sisi's atrocity against Egyptian and against the planet.

Hope the UN will be a model against dictatorships that are coming back again lead by Putin and those who are like him.
