Thank you for your support.
The number of low flying offensive planes that are "acoustically dive bombing" residents in west of KVGT is significantly increasing; and it appears to be as a part of the FAA’s NextGen Program (Next Generation Air Transportation System) designed to optimize U.S. airspace using GPS (Global Positioning System) technology.
Under the FAA's NextGen, Flight paths that used to be dispersed higher and over a wider area are now being redirected lower and in a more concentrated path. Previously, flights were dispersed over areas many miles wide and flew at higher altitudes, but in order to reduce a little bit of fuel consumption for the airlines, the FAA has forced all aircraft into a few narrow corridors, shrinking flight paths from miles wide to a mere couple of thousand feet wide with frequent flights at much lower altitudes. These procedures include arriving flights flying at low-altitudes in a level or ‘flat’ position for many miles under greater (thus noisier) engine power over residential communities instead of the much touted “quiet glide” descents NextGen promised. These paths and flying procedures are not in keeping with NextGen goals and have resulted in increasing fuel usage (according to the FAA), dramatic noise impacts, and a huge outcry from the millions of the Americans living underneath these flightpaths.
Along the process, they also have put a bunch of flight schools and touring businesses (that could easily be moved to outskirt of the City) on top of densely populated residential neighborhoods west of KVGT. Some of these businesses were recently moved from KHND to KVGT because of their history of previous fatal crashes, noise and major safety concerns. According to National Transportation Safety Board, these touring businesses are exploiting the FAA's loopholes and registering under "flight schools" to avoid oversight in terms of maintenance and pilot training. At the very least, minimum altitude can be changed, considering that the FAA is sending heavy air traffic over densely populated residential neighborhoods. There is a solution here that can both alleviate the suffering of thousands of families and support the FAA’s long-term goal of modernizing air traffic, but there has to be some willingness on the part of the FAA to both recognize the problem, and to be willing to negotiate in good faith, Thus far, that has not happened.
They have unleashed monsters on top of this City and some of these monsters are celebrating their newly funded freedom to loop and joyride at low altitude over densely populated residential homes west of KVGT, Summerlin golf courses and communities, as early as 5 am and as late as 9pm.
Some days our homes are just "Under siege" by a growing number of Low flying stunt planes that belong to touring businesses like Sky Combat Ace, CHENNAULT FLYING SERVICE, Vegas Aviation, West Air Flight Training, Crosswinds Aviation, and a dozen other LLCs registered outside the state of NV or registered in City of Henderson; every week it's a new LLC targeting Summerlin Golf courses/communities.
According to https://nextgenrelief.org/ Las Vegas is one of the metropolitan Cities negatively impacted by the FAA's NextGen, low flying offensive planes are impacting the City of Las Vegas profoundly, considering the entire City is built around major airports.
Unfortunately, the issue of constant noise and fuel pollution of low offensive flying planes will get worse as the time goes by, and the FAA is moving to expand NextGen across the country, costing taxpayers $37 billion through 2030.
Unlike the airline industry, the American taxpayers don’t have 48 million dollars a year to spend on lobbying. We are the Americans who exist outside closed-door meetings between the airline industry and the FAA, yet we are left to suffer the consequences when the aviation industry is allowed to serve their shareholders first, at the expense of our families' health and well-being.
If NextGen wasn’t able to correctly use computer modeling to predict the noise impacts of NextGen, what assurance does anyone have that they’ve correctly modeled the long-term impacts of continuous exposure to toxic aircraft emission at low altitudes? Should families wait until their loved ones turn up with elevated rates of cancer and respiratory disease in ten years, and then demand the FAA and/or Congress do something? Or should they demand that the FAA and/or Congress act now?
