Move Mr. Counts’ history test to next Monday

Move Mr. Counts’ history test to next Monday
The Issue
Dear Mr. Counts,
We are writing to respectfully request that Friday's test be moved to the following Monday. We do not make this request casually, but we believe the circumstances genuinely warrant it.
In theory, the Indian Removal Paper is due two days before the test. But because it is due the night before, taking into account how overloaded students are this week, for all intents and purposes the paper is due Thursday (At 00:00 in the Morning). In terms of length and effort, it is comparable to the Constitutional Historiography Paper—the longest we have written—yet we have had part of this week to work on it, with one in-class brainstorming day. For that earlier paper, we were given three full weeks. The lower point value may make it appear lighter, but the workload from our end feels the same, if not greater.
This would be difficult on its own. But most students also have at least two other major assignments this week on top of your test, making the overlap genuinely overwhelming. As of now, you've only asked us to have a rough thesis and one body paragraph, which speaks to how early in the process we still are.
Moving the test to Monday would not delay the course in any meaningful way, but it would give us a real chance to do well. Last semester, it's undeniable we struggled with our exams. Back-to-back major assignments would make that even harder for us, not to mention our additional exams.
We hope you'll consider it. Thank you.
