Save the Bondville Skate Park
The Issue
The Bondville Skate Park has been closed to the public by the Mountain School of Winhall. The skate park used to be on public property but the Mountains School of Winhall purchased the land from the town of Winhall. Now it is likely the skatepark will be destroyed. Skateparks in this area of Vermont are few far and between, especially ones with nice concrete skate bowls. "Skateparks build and sustain healthy communities. As a gathering place for dedicated, athletic youth, the skatepark provides the forum for visitors young and old, beginning and skilled, to meet and share experiences. For many skateboarding youth, the skatepark becomes a home-away-from-home."
-The Skatepark Project, skatepark.org/.
With this petition I hope to convince The Mountain School of Winhall to preserve the Bondville Skate Park and reopen it to the public. I hope to show them the importance of public skateparks and display how many people care about this park. Please help save the Bondville Skate Park.
