The students of the Moultonborough, NH school district have done so great adapting to a new way of school with altered recess and strict rules around how they can interact with friends and masks worn throughout the day. Lots of hand washing and lunch in the classroom for most and adaptations to who they are allowed to sit with on the bus. They have risen to the occasion and have put in 110% effort to ensure they are still able to get an in person education.  With 8 total cases in our town we owe it to our hard working students to also rise up put the hard work in to keep schools open as long and safe as we can. We cannot reward their hard work by giving up and closing schools due to 3 positive cases in school and faculty and no proven spread in our schools. We are one of the best and most well funded schools in the areas and while our neighboring towns keep pushing through we are on the verge of giving up.  Currently today Moultonborough is one of the lower rate towns for positive Covid 19 cases. The burden caused by closing school is creating and undo amount of stress on our kids and families. There has been a clear message sent that it is likely that our superintendent of schools will make a decision next Tuesday if they will let students go back to in person learning. Let’s all join together and let superintendent Patrick Andrew and the Moultonborough School Board know that we would expect to see the schools open after Thanksgiving Break.
