Like most of us these days, WAND is struggling to make ends meet: trimming costs while keeping the lights on and the wonderful staff doing their vital work.

Of course, your help is absolutely essential to making WAND possible. And for us, the best way you can donate to keep us going is: give online. So this spring, we're doing all we can to encourage you to give online. Let's grow something great together!

Online donations are safe and easy for you; and easy and cost-effective for us. And the Earth appreciates any step we take toward not using up more paper and ink.

If you've never donated online, rest assured that it's simple. And this week, we've got a lovely incentive:

Donate at least $25 online before 5pm EST Thursday, May 7, and you will be eligible for one of these delightful prizes. We will draw from all the online donors at a raffle at the Massachusetts Mother's Day Breakfast Celebration on Friday morning.

The good stuff:

A one-night stay at the beeyootiful Charles Hotel in the heart of Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA, including breakfast for two at Henrietta's Table in the hotel. Full information.
Admission for four to a performance at the beeyootiful Regatta Bar in the Charles Hotel. Full information.
Please help us out today! We need it more than ever, and donating online is a great way to go. THANK YOU!

We invite you to become a sponsor of the breakfast, and to join us that morning. Please get in touch! Kristin O'Sullivan, Development Director

 Mother's Day for Peace!

News, et al   :)

http://www.wand.org

For years, WAND has celebrated the true meaning and origins of Mother's Day:

"We, the women of one country,
Will be too tender of those of another country
To allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs."
--Julia Ward Howe, 1870 Mother's Peace Day Proclamation

In 2009, we'll be celebrating Mother's Day for Peace in various ways around the country. Check it out!

When you donate at least $25 online, your name will be entered in a raffle for one these great prizes:

A one-night stay at the beeyootiful Charles Hotel in the heart of Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA, including breakfast for two at Henrietta's Table in the hotel.
A most original luxury hotel, the newly renovated Charles Hotel combines classic New England design and sophisticated service. You can see our character in our signature quilts, bountiful regional cuisine, and thoughtful planning. Located in the heart of Harvard Square, just minutes from downtown Boston, The Charles Hotel, a AAA Four Diamond Hotel, offers the finest, most distinctive guest accommodations.
Admission for four to a performance at the beeyootiful Regatta Bar in the Charles Hotel.
Boston Magazine bestowed its "Best of Boston Award" thirteen times naming the 225-capacity venue "Best Jazz Club" and in 1998 inducted The Regattabar into its "Best of Boston Hall of Fame". During the last 20 years, the Regattabar has become the leading jazz club not only in Boston, but also in New England.
The fine print: Subject to availability. Blackout dates apply. To be used within a year.
