We as students and minors want to see change in our Moreno Valley School District regarding the dress-code. Its not only an inconvenience to our education but it is also frustrating not being able to wear summer attire in these hot times. We’re are not the first to deal with this dress-code issue.

  An article published by USA Today titled “California Schools No-Shame dress code empowers students to wear what they want”, states a school in San Francisco, Bay Area has a possible solution : Let students wear what they want. They go on to say “We want kids and parents and guardians to be deciding what appropriate is.“ this was stated by Rebecca Baumgartner, an english and history teacher at Lincoln Middle School.

  We find it questionable as to why the staff advice us on what we should and shouldn’t wear, we want our education to be as important as the dress code is to the staff. We believe dress coding us is the REAL DISTRACTION!!
