Dear President Joko Widodo,

Most foreigners whom visit, invest or reside in Indonesia would stand with your dressing-down of the Director General of Immigration Indonesia during your cabinet meeting on September 9, 2022.

You are calling for a complete "revamp" of the outdated, human controlled Indonesia Immigration system. You sited that it prevents tourists, investors and foreigners coming to Indonesia or returning to Indonesia.

We ask you President Jokowi to make the crucial change needed. We believe to contribute to your goal of “reform” please aim to have over 50% WOMEN work-force at every level of Immigration Indonesia offices, especially the Bali immigration offices where reform is most needed. 

Respectfully President Jokowi, for an example there is only ONE woman at the most senior management level at the headquarters of Immigration Indonesia. 

We believe Indonesia will not succeed with the reform needed at immigration Indonesia unless there is more women participation. 

Please do consider to set-up an independent national complaints unit - contact details to be published on every e-visa issued so complaints from tourists, investors and long-time foreign residence can be heard and if need be can be acted on accordingly.
