Greetings everyone! I want to make this petition to fight for fan artist or independent artist to prove that fan made ideas can be better than hiring random script artist, who know nothing about a franchise. Here’s what I’m talking about: I have been very disappointed in some movies I mean, not in a mean way, just in a way that makes me feel sad that it could’ve been a different way.  And when it comes to fan creators, they always stick to the franchise. They don’t change anything or make it opposite of the characters. They have a lot of ideas and I really think that a lot of fan artist and fan script artist should be more paid attention to. There have actually been many situations where certain things failed until a fan creator came in and lots of people enjoyed it because the fan knew what they were doing. I get copyright law protects a lot and that is important to copyright law should be respected even trademark law, but there’s some stuff that I think we should be paying attention to. The law will allow parody, but not fan artist? I really think that it should be the opposite. I really think we should support fan artists more than parody. Fan artist and fan script artist are very creative and dedicated to there craft and dedicated to a craft that made them a fan of. And there are lots of moments where I believe the fan creator did it better than the original reboot or sequel movie’s. I think we should support more fan artists because there’s been a lot of writing, that’s been boring or not like the original. I want soul & I want adventure & I want fun. And lots of those start with fan artists. Thank you for reading my petition.
