While being at Moore Public Schools for over 8 years I've always been ensured that I've had safety, and kindness inside the building. This year has been different. I've realized there are many flaws in the system such as forgetting your I.D for school amounts to suspension which could permanently mess up your college applications, not to mention even if you have it and it's in your backpack you still get suspended. I don't understand the point in having an I.D if they do not check it half of the time, for example, 2 acquaintances of mine switched I.D's  for the day just to see if it mattered, and no, it did not. I also do not understand how slamming a kids head into a desk doesn't require suspension but forgetting your I.D does. Moore Public Schools to me does not really "help" bullying. You can go into a counsellors office countless of times telling them you're being bullied and all they do is say they'll handle it by giving the kid who is bullying them a slap on the wrist. Another thing would be the teachers. I think we should start cutting off teachers who do not care about their jobs. There are so many that could care less what the students do, which brings the question "Why would you work in a school full of kids if you do not like them?" or on the other hand be so strict it will make the kids break down and cry. Many of the principals are so rude you could not imagine it. Some of them will give you glares and be incredibly mean for no reason in particular other than the way you look or dress, act, talk, etc.... I would also like to bring up the school lunches. I've never had the money or time to pack a lunch at night or in the morning so I was stuck with school food, sometimes not even getting that. An example would be i was a dime short and I couldn't have my food, and the same to a friend for not having a quarter. The food is greasy, or rotten, not suitable for an actual lunch. The teachers are VERY judgemental on the way you look. I've had several teachers tell me I looked ridiculous because of my hair or my nose ring, and it makes me feel like I shouldn't even be there. Kids can even be judged for being in the LGBTQA area. Once a teacher even said a girl would grow up to be a stripper. With all of this being said I think you understand why I'm trying to get all of this to change with better food, teachers, rules. I want this district to do good for all of the students, and maybe so many kids won't drop out. Thank you for your time to read this and hopefully you will sign.
