Moonta Mines Church sits in the National Heritage Precinct, it is a building of unique cultural, spiritual and historical significance. It is the only building of its scale that has been preserved and used for its original purpose and will greatly assist in the campaign for World Heritage status.

The Uniting Church Synod is currently planning for Expressions Of Interest (EOI) for new custodians of the building. Due in part to dwindling congregation numbers in recent years, it is currently closed as a church.

We support EOI of Public Entities who will preserve and protect the building and its contents. Especially those who within their EOI plan to allow the building to be used and occupied by various organisations, including but not limited to Sunday Services, YP Cornish Association, Wedding Parties, Funerals and other Special Services (i.e. Kernewek Lowender).

We DO NOT want it sold to private entities!
