She is a girl she is jack russle and pitbull. There was a car accident they all were in a mini cooper. They pulled over or off to the side I don’t know anyways a car came along and hit them and they were thrown from the car.this happen between A st and Winton Ave. Ps she is chipped. But as I always say a chip is only as good as the person bring her to the vet to be scan. I still say air tag or tile

My  friends pet,like many others in Hayward, California, is missing. This single event has devastated my family and brought to light a serious issue in our community – many families are suffering the same experience. It's a tale all too familiar to pet owners: turning the house upside down, checking the local pounds, and spreading the word in the neighborhood, all in a desperate search for our beloved pets.

According to the American Humane Association, lost pets are a significant issue in the U.S, with around 10 million pets reported missing each year. There is a desperate need for an organized, concerted effort to address this problem in Hayward.

We need more local engagement, such as community watch programs, to keep an eye out for stray pets. We also need to raise and spread awareness about the importance of microchipping and tagging pets. A study by the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association emphasized that microchipped dogs were over twice as likely to be returned to their owners.

This petition is a call for stronger community initiatives, increased awareness, and improved systems to reunite missing pets with their families in Hayward. Too many families are suffering as we are now. It's time to come together, as a community, to ensure our pets find their way back home safely. Please, sign this petition.
