Having a late bus:

-affords students the opportunity to become contributors to the school community
-allows students to participate in tutoring, sports, and other extra curricular activities
-provides a safe transportation option for students who live in a rural setting (no safe roads to walk or ride bikes)
-allows students to build better relationships with school staff and peers
-provides students with an opportunity to build their portfolio for college admissions 
-relieves parents of the burden of having to identify and pay for alternative transportation
-fosters a sense of community
