Petition to make an Anti-Racist Policy in BHS SOUTH student handbook

Students at Bloomington High School South have noted how much bigotry they've encountered this school year. BIPOC and POC face prejudice not only from students, but also from the school's vice principals and staff. Our school's student handbook needs to include an anti-racism policy, and staff, students, and principals should be held accountable for their racist and eugenic views. This anti-racism policy will ensure that racism and microaggressions are described in the student handbook, as well as develop a plan for policy dissemination and other activities.
For starters
1. Providing a clear and accurate definition of racism & Microaggression for consumers of the policy.
2. Devising a plan for policy dissemination,
appointing an anti-racist committee or point person.
3. Coupling equity/anti-racist policy with other school or district-wide policies, and
partnering with external organizations.
At ANY school, our kids and future students at BHS SOUTH should feel comfortable and not be discriminated against.
