Mojang, It's Time to Fix Bedrock Steve Glitch (Steve Glitch Bug Petition)

The Issue

Ever since the 1.16 Update on Bedrock, People have been experiencing Steve Glitch on servers, and have had some (to say the least) unpleasant experiences with the bug. And yet as of 1.17.10, the Bug still persists and is still making it harder for both the players and server staff to truly enjoy what they are doing.

In fact, over time the Steve Glitch has only worsened.

Today I played on a Minecraft multiplayer server for an hour and encountered the steve glitch a whopping 8 times. And it doesn't just affect skins, it affects custom entities that are vital to the gameplay.

For as long as I can remember, players from all over have been begging for Mojang to come up and finally fix the issue, however, the efforts of those always cease to make a difference, as they tell the unfortunate players that deal with this issue that it is a server-side bug.

But it's not. And now in 1.17, servers are now unable to do anything, while players just have to cope with the issue. If Mojang will ever do anything about it, the time is now. Many people already recognize Bedrock Edition as a game that isn't quite so stable, and with a (dare I say) critical issue such as this, affecting a large portion of the Bedrock community, it only adds fuel to the fire.

It may seem like I am being harsh to a game studio, and I know that Mojang is busy with 1.18, which will change Minecraft's world generation forever in ways few can imagine. But sometimes, it's the little things that count, and make a greater difference than what many would anticipate it to be. And again, I am not the only one that seeks a difference. Minecraft Bedrock players on PC, Mobile, Xbox, PS4, and Nintendo Switch experience this nasty bug, and they seek change. So Mojang, it's finally time to go fix Steve Glitch.

Thank You all for Reading, Fine Regards,

Alberto G.
