In Minecraft we have seen that many animals such as: Foxes, Goats, What ever those pink things are, new mobs and etc. I have also seen their video of them gathering Panda sounds for their game and said that they want to make the game familiar to players. I think it will be a good idea to add Monkeys to Minecraft as it will boost realism and is very relatable in-real-life. Monkey's would bee a good addition as they can provide realism in some natural biomes like the "Jungle Biome" and more forest-jungle type locations in Minecraft. With monkey's being added, they can also add various fruits and mobs into the game like: Nuts, Small Insects like Lizards and more, Bananas, Mangoes and more fruits that monkey's like to eat. With this they can also introduce more insects into game like cockroaches, small spiders, lizards and more. This will make it more diverse and realistic. Various updates like this and more interesting updates can spark up player-count and encourage many people from around the world to dive deep into it at they can relate something to where they live, just like what they did with Panda's. Monkey's may be hard to make but will be interesting to many players who enjoy nature or just liking nature in general. 

Although, if they are not able to add such a mob, they should try making an official mod pack for monkey's, so that players can witness it as something in-game at least.

Although this maybe hard to do, I think it is a very good update that Mojang should add to Minecraft. I am expecting this to be a thing later in the future.
