Option to switch to Old or new Minecraft UI while accessing new Updates
The Issue
Before I begin, I am very thankful you can switch between editions and appreciate that very much.
Anyway,
I have played Minecraft since I was 6 years old. I got deeply into it at 7, and brought in my family somewhere near 8 or 9. Ever since we have been vivid players, spending 24 hours sometime on the game.
We bought Minecraft on the X-Box 360 originally, and later the Ps4, and have bought various skin packs and texture packs and have used Minecraft to an excessive level.
Then new Minecraft came.
Something everyone could enjoy, we could play with other players cross-platform now! Yay! Right?
Well... Not all of this was good. Now before you have a go at me, I know you can access editions to get old Minecraft, but they have said no new updates will ever come to that, so this is still valid.
New Minecraft was build off the one on the PC. And I see why; it was the first version of Minecraft, but certainly not the best. I had used console for a long time, and this new edition was so much more limiting and designed for PC gamers, making it really hard for Console gamers.
In the console edition, you could easily access host options with buttons exclusive to the controller instead of having to pause it, you could give Superflat worlds layers to customise it, as well as reset the Nether and the end easily in a perfect world creation menu, which leats you select what biome the (Superflat) world is as well as what structures you want in their.
All of these features are no longer available on new Minecraft.
Console edition also seemed less confusing and less digital, it felt wholesome.
The creative menu was PERFECT. It had everything in non confusing sections that you could easily navigate. Everything was put into neat places. Instead of a darker UI it had a nice grey display feature to hold as a background, as well as a much more easy to use display.
Now, this is the suggestions post, no the "complain and whine about a new update post", I will admit.
My suggestion:
BE ABLE TO SELECT WHICH UI VERSION OF MINECRAFT TO HAVE.
I have never had any interest of playing online and just want me and my family to enjoy Minecraft again. I just BEG for an option to switch the UI and the menu settings to PC or Console. It shouldn't be too hard, as to keeping everything else relative.
Now new stuff has been added which could either stay how it is or be redisgned to a console look. As long as. I can have my console controls and everything else back the way they were, while keeping the new stiff and BEING ABLE TO ACCESS NEW GAME UPDATES as well.
I'm probably going going to get a lot of backlash for this, especially by PC gamers but I can't be the only offline console gamer who thinks this!
Regardless I still, and always will, love Minecraft.
