I am a dedicated Waffle House employee of over 20 years. Throughout this time, I have valued the personal relationships I have cultivated with our terrific customers. Regrettably, the recent shift in policy restricting dine-in service from 11 PM to 6 AM on Fridays and Saturdays has not only impacted many like me but is also creating dissatisfaction among our valued customers.

By mandating a 'to-go only' policy during these hours, the quintessential warmth, familiarity and community spirit that Waffle House is known for is dwindling away. This policy also cultivates a potentially hostile environment, as disgruntled customers express their displeasure – their preferred dining experience interrupted abruptly.

The dedication of third-shift staff, many of whom have committed years of service, is overlooked and undervalued with this change. Someone once said - "Your employees are your company's real competitive advantage. They're the ones making the magic happen-so long as their needs are met" (Richard Branson).

Taking these numerous factors into account, I urge the Waffle House management to consider modifying their third-shift scheduling policy for the betterment of employees and customers alike on Fridays and Saturdays. This change can maintain the harmony and dedication showcased by overnight staff, keeping intact our traditional in-house dining experience, and prevent unnecessary conflicts.
