We, the undersigned, ask for an update to the U.S. Air Force service dress uniform. Our current uniform feels outdated and doesn’t reflect the modern, cutting-edge nature of the Air Force.

Here are the main issues:

1. **Old-Fashioned Design:** The current look doesn’t match the modern styles seen in other branches. For example, the U.S. Navy updated their service dress whites, and the Army introduced the new Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU), both of which look more modern and sharp.

2. **Comfort and Fit:** The material is uncomfortable, and the fit isn’t great for everyone. The Marine Corps uniforms are known for being comfortable and durable, something we’d love to see in our uniforms too.

3. **Durability:** The current uniforms don’t hold up well over time. The Coast Guard’s operational dress uniform is a good example of something that’s durable and easy to maintain.

4. **Morale and Pride:** A new, better-looking uniform can boost morale and pride. The Army’s new AGSU has made soldiers feel more proud of their appearance and heritage. Their callbacks to WW2 really capture what it means to be a soldier and we think the Airforce can do that too!

We suggest forming a committee that includes airmen of all ranks and fashion experts to design a new, uniform that reflects our past present and future!

Updating the service dress uniform will help our airmen feel more comfortable, look more professional, and better represent the advanced capabilities of the U.S. Air Force.
