Curriculum Transparency in MN

Curriculum Transparency in MN
The Issue
The lack of transparency has been a major issue in education. Many parents are unaware that MN statute requires schools to give parents access to curriculum and materials upon request. In order to rebuild the trust between school districts and families, Senator Paul Gazelka has led the charge by introducing a Curriculum Transparency bill, which will require school districts to communicate with parents as to where they can access the curriculum and materials, and it would be provided free of charge. The bill has been voted to the MN Senate floor, and we need to show the overwhelming support as we look to take one step closer to restoring excellence and trust within our public school system.
