My beautiful cat Mitzi was only 3 years old when she was hit and killed instantaneously by a speeding car at around midnight on the 19th July 2022. The calllous driver never stopped to check if she was ok. 
A kind lady who I never met found her and took her to the vets where they contacted me to inform me what happened. 
We are all completed devastated and heartbroken. Our 1 year old cat is looking for her and our 12 1/2 year old dog who is poorly really misses her too. 

She never ventured far from home and was literally one street away when this happened. 
Current legislation means a driver doesn’t have to report knocking down a cat.

I want this law changed to include cats. Considering cats are one of the most popular family pets in the UK I find it unbelievable that pigs, cattle and horses are protected under the current legislation but not cats.
