I want to change the capital. You never hear about Jefferson City in the news (for good or bad.) If we were to change the state capital to St. Louis then our city would get recognized for more good than bad. Also Saint Louis is the Gateway to the West. We also hold many important monuments, such as The Arch, The Old Courthouse as well as the current Federal Courthouse, we also have a large and important airport. We also have a large and diverse community, a lot more diverse than Jefferson City. As well as a very diverse socio-political environment. It would make a lot of sense to make the capital where the federal courthouse is. It is also important to have the capital where important landmarks are and where it has one of the most diverse populations in the state. Children coming to visit the state capital would also be able to enjoy one of our many museums and educational buildings. Or if you want to go away from the education; we also have the City Museum and the Magic House. Both of which are very enriching experiences where you also learn a little without knowing it! Forest Park is also very important as an environmental experience and a cultural one. These are reasons why you should sign this petition to change Missouri’s state capital from Jefferson City to Saint Louis.
