UPDATE***
Derek’s bail is: $22,500 in Wisconsin and $2,500 in Illinois DEREK DOES NOT HAVE THE MEANS TO POST, BUT HIS FAMILY DOES!! When Melissa went “missing,” he was on a $25,000 cash bond in Illinois and $10,000 cash bond in Wisconsin, so money isn’t an issue. His mommy also posted $50,000 cash in Nevada in 2016 or 2017 and has paid for private attorneys for every felony case. The only thing considered in bail is the likely hood he will appear. There’s no consideration for safety, past crimes, current investigations, nothing. Aaron Kaney, Carroll County IL State's Attorney & Carroll County Sheriff's Office - Illinois, do your job and charge him with the NO BODY HOMICIDE!!! There’s enough evidence to secure the indictment, or at least there was before it disappeared.
I’m sick and tired of Derek and Denise having more rights than Melissa and/or her family. This man is dangerous!!!!!!! I will post his parole hearing from Nevada in 2018 on tik tok tonight to show the promises he made upon release that clearly didn’t happen. One of the main reasons his parole was granted was because his family (specifically Mommy) were going to ensure he followed parole conditions, and they were to report if he was not......and here we are. P.S. for the cases of Battery by Strangulation, Coercion, 5-6 counts of possession/manufacture explosives etc
DEREK HAMMER's bond was REDUCED!! Derek has no money or assets and has never held a job for an extended period, so where’s the money for the bond coming from? Where’s the money from the TWO? Petition to keep Derek Hammer in Jail with no bond.
He is a repeat offender in multiple states for bail jumping, fleeing/eluding officers repeater, disorderly conduct repeater, domestic abuse, possession of a firearm as a felon, maintaining a drug trafficking place repeater, party to a crime repeater, possession with the intent repeater, Derek is a danger to Society. Witness threatening, pulling a gun in front of children, drug use, etc.
Melissa went to see Hammer on 10/26/ 2021 and hasn't been seen since.
Hammer abandoned Melissa's rental truck that day, then was picked up on a warrant. We need to keep him there as he could hurt others. No One is Safe if he is FREE!!!
