Miscarriage Of Justice For Kenyatta Adams

Miscarriage Of Justice For Kenyatta Adams
The Issue
My name is Kenyatta Adams, and I am a lifelong resident of Portsmouth, Virginia, and I am currently imprisoned for a crime I did not commit. I need help bringing attention to this miscarriage of justice so we can pressure the state to release several items of exculpatory evidence that I need to exonerate myself because they are currently refusing to disclose those documents.
There were several witnesses, as well as crime line tips that identified the actual culprit who was responsible for the death of Andre Hall on March 7, 2015, yet the state's tunnel vision prevented them from pursuing those leads despite the lack of any incriminating evidence against me. The only evidence in the case against me were the perjurious assertions of Lamon tray Askew, who came forth 10 months after the incident while awaiting trial for several felonies to suddenly alleges he witnessed me commit the crime. He was permitted to exchange his fabricated, uncorroborated testimony for leniency, despite having never been previously mentioned as even being there by other witnesses, first responders, or detectives.
It's unfair when a convicted felon who is facing potential life sentences can simply concoct a supposed eyewitness account and trade this story to a prosecutor desperate for a conviction by any means, especially when there was no evidence to substantiate his fallacious testimony and no other evidence of my guilt.
If such injustice bothers you, please sign my petition in support of my innocence and contact the Portsmouth Commonwealth Attorney to compel the release of the evidence requested in the F.O.I.A. request filed on my behalf.
Thank you
