Minot ND Residents for Backyard Chickens
The Issue
DO NOT SIGN IF YOURE NOT A MINOT RESIDENT!
I'm just going to speak frankly and not write a book about this.
People should be able to be self sufficient and provide for their families. Chickens are quiet and don't take up alot of space. Yes there are worries about disease, but that's where common sense kicks in.
If Minot, ND allows pit bulls and snakes, and they keep raising our property taxes, then we should be allowed to have chickens. Bigger cities like Fargo and Mandan already allow backyard hens.
No roosters. Up to 4 chickens. Have them a reasonable distance from your neighbors house, say 20 feet.
If you want Backyard chickens, or even if you don't want them but are indifferent to others having them, sign the petition.
